With allowances for appropriate criticism, Jim Wallis is a huge step in the right direction. I really like him a lot. Still looking for the political match for this theological/homiletical new evangelical.
In spite of criticisms that I have, I like Wallis. I definitely appreciate his perspective and the fresh voice he offers to the public that is different from the usual crowd that steps forward to represent Evangelicals. For instance, the dude in that news clip was so out of touch. I know that things get get heavily edited and re-cut, and maybe the media has an agenda to make conservatives look foolish. But to call Wallis "way out there" is ridiculous.
